Optional (but participation is way more fun):
You may bring a gourd for the Gourd Ornament Exchange.
Wrap in a plain small brown paper bag.
Also, optional gourd-related gift exchange, $10 limit on
supplies.

Where: St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 300
West First St., Birdsboro, PA 19508.
Eli & Linda Smucker have agreed to be the
chairpersons for 2012. They are anxious for many members to help share
the work load. Prior experience NOT necessary! Previous Fest Committee
Members will help NEW Committee Members. Suggestions Welcome!
Here are a few of the tasks that need to be done by volunteers:
Advertising = Creating & distributing flyers, place push-in signs at key
intersections 1 week before Fest, notifies media of Fest, including
Sponsor (Amish Country News)
Fund Raising = Coordinate the Silent Auction & other ideas welcome!!
Fun = Coordinate the Gallery or a limited Competition, kids activity,
raffle/guessing # gourds, etc. & other ideas welcome!!
Demonstrations = recruit & schedule volunteers
Staffing key locations = recruit volunteers to staff Class Sign-in
booth, etc
Class registration = receives & keeps track of student sign-ups
Teacher recruitment = solicits teachers for Fest & assigns classrooms
based on class type
Vendor recruitment = solicits vendors for Fest & assigns booth locations
Food = recruits vendors for breakfast, lunch, ice cream social, snacks,
and banquet
PAGS Booth (Sales for teachers & volunteers) = solicits participants,
arranges staffing
Facilities = Porta potty, generators, audio system, tables, chairs,
canopies, parking, etc.
